Rev. Dr. Sebastian Chamakalayil, (Sarath Thomas) is a Catholic priest of the Diocese of Palai, hailing from Kuravilangad. He has served as Parish Priest in various parishes of the diocese.

He is a social worker and academician specializing in peace and conflict resolution, mental health, and management.

He holds a doctorate from Lincoln University, Malaysia, and the Marian Research Centre, Kuttikanam, along with advanced degrees in Social Work (MSW), Business Administration (MBA), Philosophy, and Theology. As an academician and peace advocate, his areas of expertise include social justice and peacebuilding, with numerous international publications to his credit.
