Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIS (PM-SETU)
•    A flagship, centrally sponsored scheme to modernise ITIs and align vocational training with industry standards.
•    Launched: October 2025.
•    Ministry : Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship
•    Outlay: ₹60,000 crore.
•    Coverage: Upgradation of 1,000 Government ITIs.
•    Model: Hub-and-spoke — 200 Hub ITIs + 800 Spoke ITIs.
•    Hub ITIs: Advanced skill & innovation centres with modern infrastructure, digital learning, incubation, placement, and trainer training facilities.
•    Spoke ITIs: Extend access to smaller towns, aspirational and remote areas.
•    Implementation model: Government-owned, industry-managed with Anchor Industry Partners.
•    Objective: Make ITI training job-market relevant and fill systemic skill gaps.
•    Sector focus: Training in 12 high-demand  sectors such as IT, electronics, automotive, agriculture, logistics, and tourism etc.
•    Capacity building: Training of 1,200 vocational teachers.
