Vizhinjam International Seaport Project
India’s first international deepwater transshipment port boasts a natural depth of over 18 meters, scalable up to 20 meters. This depth is crucial for accommodating large vessels and mother ships.
Strategic Location: The port is strategically located just 10 nautical miles from the international shipping route.
Cargo Handling Capacity: The port has an initial cargo handling capacity of 1 million TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units) in the first phase, expandable to 6.2 million TEU.
Project Details: The project is being developed by Adani Ports on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Transfer (DBFOT) model.
