Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan
The Government of India is launching Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan on 17th September 2025, along with the 8th Poshan Maah. It is India’s largest-ever women and child health mobilisation campaign, led jointly by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the Ministry of Women & Child Development (MoWCD).
Objectives
The campaign aims to provide early detection and treatment of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), cancer, TB, anaemia, and sickle cell disease. It also promotes nutrition awareness, menstrual hygiene, healthy lifestyle practices, and mental well-being.
Key Features
* Health Camps: Over 1 lakh camps between 17 Sept – 2 Oct 2025 in CHCs, district hospitals, and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs. * Specialist Services: Gynaecology, paediatrics, eye, ENT, dental, dermatology, and psychiatry support. * Screening & Awareness: BP, sugar, BMI checks, cancer screening, TB and sickle cell detection, and mental health counselling. * Maternal & Child Care: Antenatal care, immunisation, MCP card distribution, growth monitoring, nutrition counselling. * Nutrition Activities: Hb testing, IFA supplements, Annaprashan, recipe demonstrations, Eat Right campaign. * Community Participation: ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, SHGs, PRIs, youth groups, and MY Bharat volunteers will mobilise citizens. * Digital & AYUSH Services: Enrolment under health schemes, yoga sessions, and Ayurveda consultations.
