Project Deepak (BRO)

 Project Deepak is one of the oldest infrastructure projects of the Border Roads Organisation, launched in 1962 to develop and maintain strategic roads in Himachal Pradesh’s difficult terrain.

Operates in Shimla, Kinnaur, Kullu, and Lahaul-Spiti regions.
Built key routes like the Hindustan–Tibet Road and stretches of the Manali–Leh axis.
Plays a major role in disaster management and humanitarian assistance besides infrastructure development.
