Myoglobin

Researchers have developed a flexible, low-cost biosensor capable of detecting myoglobin, a protein released into the bloodstream during early stages of a heart attack (acute myocardial infarction). This advancement could help with earlier and more accessible detection of cardiac injury, especially in settings where rapid diagnosis makes a big difference.
Myoglobin is an early marker of heart muscle damage and valuable for rapid diagnosis when used alongside other cardiac biomarkers.
New biosensors are being developed that could detect myoglobin cheaply and quickly, improving early heart attack diagnosis and potentially saving lives.
Research continues on sensitive detection methods and better understanding of myoglobin biology in  cardiovascular contexts.
