Strategic and Economic Importance

This railway line is not just about transportation. It has strategic importance for India’s northeastern frontier and strengthens bilateral ties with Bhutan. It will also promote trade, tourism, and cultural exchange, helping Bhutan grow economically while turning the region into a hub for regional trade.
