Beaver Dams
Beavers are a species of rodents, which mainly lives in the wetland ecosystem of northern hemisphere. It is also the national animal of Canada. They build big dams using available materials such as grass and sticks to provide them with a stable environment and as a prevention from predators. These dams are so large as the largest one in Buffalo National Park, Canada is said to be visible from space. Beavers are also a keystone species in its wetland ecosystem which plays a disproportionate role in maintaining the structure, function and biodiversity of an ecosystem.
